It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Teresa! Planning out how you're going to get around Walt Disney World Resort is such an important part of your trip. I know that I cover about 10 miles every day that I'm on vacation, so it's definitely a really smart idea to think about when and where to take rests so you don't tire out too quickly!
Teresa, a properly charged
ECV device should last all day while you're in the Theme Parks. I've traveled with friends and family who have rented mobility devices and in my experience, we have only needed to charge the batteries overnight at our Resort Hotel and have been good to go all day without needing to stop to recharge. If you find yourself in need of some juice in the middle of the day, then you are welcome to charge your ECV inside the Theme Parks. A Cast Member will happily direct you to the closest outlet, but there are a few places that have a small collection of plugs for guests to charge their phones, ECVs, or anything else that needs it. The
Tangled-themed restrooms in
Magic Kingdom Park that sit between
"it's a small world" and
Haunted Mansion have quite a few electrical outlets hidden in the seating area out front. If you're at
EPCOT, there's a hallway next to
Soarin' Around The World that leads to some restrooms, and I've found a few outlets in there as well as some benches for your family to hang out with you! Quick-Service dining locations also tend to have a collection of outlets available near tables for you to use, just make sure not to move any furniture or unplug anything that's already plugged in when you use them. Keep an eye on the charging monitor on your ECV, and you can combine charging time with lunch or a rest break!
Have a magical day, Teresa!
