I will be bringing my elderly mom who is a diabetic and in a scooter to see Fantasmic and am concerned about the sometimes long wait times and her health. Is there any special line or entrance for those who are considered handicapped? Any advice? Thanks!

    Hi Marlena,

Disney has done a great job over the past few years making it easier for guests who have mobility issues and other special needs have a magical time. Disney has opened up larger queues and provided ways for these guest to have a magical vacation.

When you approach an attraction, show or character greeting, you will ask a cast member how your mom will enter and when she will need to transfer. Most of this information can be found online so you can do a little pre-planning.

Most shows like Fantasmic! have special seating areas which your mom can drive up to her seat. Another great option for Fantasmic! is to schedule a seat ahead of time with the Fantasmic! Dining Package. With this package, you choose one of three great restaurants and then enter the show 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. It takes the long wait out of your day.

Also, you should make Advanced Dining Reservations for at least one meal a day. This will help keep mom on schedule with her meals which I know is important with diabetics. You can also bring in snacks to keep her sugar in balance.

I also recommend scheduling FastPass+ to schedule attractions times. This will help you reduce your wait times as well.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
