We are bringing Disney gift cards to use for spending $$ on our trip next month. Can we use them to pay for meals and/or gratuity? We're on the dining plan - but would like to use them for tips if possible.

Greetings Cathy!  I love hearing from fellow Californians here at the Moms Panel!  Wow!  Your vacation is only a month away!!! How exciting!

Bringing Disney Gift Cards is a convenient way to keep track of your spending at the Walt Disney Resort.  All of the Disney-owned and operated dining establishments (which is the majority on property) will accept your Disney Gift Card for payment as well as gratuity!

A personal tip I like to give with regard to Disney Gift Cards is if you're staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel, you have the option to charge purchases to your "key-to-the-world card" which you will be given at check-in.  You can charge retail purchases, dining, gratuity, etc.  to this card with the ability to pay the balance with your Disney Gift Cards!  You can either settle up at check-out, or pay a little as you go, which helps keep track of how much you've spent!

I am so excited about your upcoming trip to the East Coast, and please let me know if I am able to answer additional questions!  Here's wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
