We are bringing our 2 daughters from South Africa for their birthday to disney world in April this year. What are the crowds like. Is it a very busy time of year?

    Chantal:

    What a wonderful birthday plan!

April 20 is Easter, and our family has found the week between Palm Sunday (April 13, this year) and Easter to be one of the busiest of the year. In fact, one year, we came for Easter Weekend and only did the water parks so to avoid the theme park crowds. Those crowds tend to taper off by the end of the week after Easter as families return to home to finish the school year.

However, if you're planning to come early in the April, you should only find the usual Spring Break guests that will make it less than summer attendance but more than what you'd find during Value Season in January through mid-February and also September. If you have the opportunity to chose which part of April to visit, I'd either go with the first of the month or the last.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
