I will be bringing my daughter who is 13 months to Disneyland next week. I am also 26weeks pregnant. What rides will I be able to ride while visiting the park?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Amanda, you’re as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As the mom of three Mouseketeers under the age of 8, I have been in your shoes many times, and I’m more than happy to help guide you on your magical Disney day! First, I’d recommend checking out the Attractions page on the Disneyland Resort website to find out which attractions have an Expectant Mothers Advisory. Currently, there are 15 attractions on this list, so you’ll want to avoid those. The good news is that there are so many other family-friendly attractions, entertainment, and dining experiences, that you’ll still have plenty to do with your little one!

One of my favorite things to do during my pregnancies was to take a ride on the Disneyland Railroad or Disneyland Monorail. It’s the perfect way to keep your little one entertained, while resting your tired feet! I also loved visiting the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land. Not only is it perfectly air-conditioned, but it’s also relaxing and entertaining, all at the same time! Your little one will be in awe of the still images and video clips playing all around the Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby. From here, you can also enjoy the adorable, interactive Turtle Talk with Crush

As for attractions for any height, I’d recommend visiting “it’s a small world,” Casey Jr. Circus Train, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Jungle Cruise, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!

You’ll also want to get familiar with the Baby Care Centers, available in both Disneyland Park (at the end of Main Street, U.S.A.) and in Disney California Adventure Park (on Pacific Wharf). These Centers are the perfect spot to change, feed, or nurse your little Mouseketeer, or simply take a break in the air-conditioning on a hot summer day! Speaking of the warm California sun, I recommend staying hydrated during your Disney day by asking for a complimentary cup of ice water at any quick-service restaurant location.

To help you start mapping out the magic, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day. There are plenty of fun shows to help entertain your Mouseketeer, from Mickey and the Magical Map, to Storytelling at Royal Theatre, to Disney Junior Dance Party! (my children’s favorite!), and of course, the Main Street Electrical Parade!

Wishing you a magical day with your little one, and a healthy pregnancy journey!
