We are bringing our boys to Hollywood Studios because they are huge Star Wars fans. I have a six year old and a 3 year old who will turn four a month after our vacation. How stringent are the are guidelines for the Jedi Academy?

    Hi Rachel ~

We're huge Star Wars fans at our house too. Jedi Training Academy (JTA) is an awesome experience for Padawans 4 - 12 years old.

They will not ask for proof of age but trust Guests to be honest about their children's ages when registering for JTA. Safety is the most important thing at Disney and the age guidelines are established for good reasons. The JTA stage is completely open on one side and the front so Padawans need to be able to listen to their Jedi Master so that they will know where to stand during their training and while they are battling Darth Vader. That helps ensure the safety of the participants and performers. You can always ask a Cast Member at the registration location, but I would prepare my son that they may likely not let him participate. I know that it will be disappointing to your son but that will give you a good reason to plan another trip.

Be sure to also check out these Star Wars related attractions:
    * Star Tours - The Adventures Continue
    * Visit Tatooine Traders located next to Star Tours to find awesome Star Wars merchandise, build your own lightsabers and Droids. You can also do this at Once Upon A Toy at Downtown Disney.
    * There is a great photo op location just across from Tatooine Traders.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
