I am bringing my Autistic grandson to the parks and I need to know if we are allowed to bring food and drinks in with us as he has sensory issues and will only eat and drink certain things.

    Hi Narcene,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your grandson must be super excited about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Yes, you can bring in some food and drinks to the parks. My family always brings snacks to help us refuel during the day. We normally bring some sort of cereal bar or snack mix along with bottled water. Riding those rides is hard work!

Just be sure to review the Park Rules to verify what is allowed and prohibited in the parks.

I also suggest that you review the information on Special Dietary Requests at the Walt Disney World Resort. I have food allergies and have been quite impressed with the food options offered at the Walt Disney World Resort. It also helps to make dining reservations and indicate on the reservation any special dietary needs. At Table-Service restaurants, the chef has come out to speak with me about my food allergies to be sure that my meal is prepared correctly. At character buffets, the chef has come out to walk me around the buffet and let me know what I can eat. This level of personal attention has been amazing and made our visits magical.

Feel free to send an email to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. A Cast Member will contact you to discuss your dietary needs.

I do hope your grandson has a fantastic time!
