We are bringing my almost 3 year old grandson to Disneyland in a few short weeks. All 4 adults have Lightning passes. Can we link them someway so that one person is making the reservations? Thanks so much!

Hi there, Alice, and welcome to planDisney! What a special visit you have coming up (so soon!) with your family! There's no better place, in my opinion, to experience the magic of family and togetherness than the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm so excited for you all!

Thanks for stopping by with this great question about Lightning Lanes! My family loves to zip past those standby lines on popular attractions, so we can experience more on our visit to Disneyland. You've got a good plan.

And the short answer to your question is absolutely - yes! If everyone in your party has linked their theme park tickets, anyone will be able to book Lightning Lanes for anyone! (You can also make reservations only for yourself. That's an option too!) To link each party member's tickets in the Disneyland app, click on the (☰) at the bottom right-hand of the screen and tap "My Tickets & Passes." Then tap “Link Tickets & Passes.” You can select “Type ID” and type in the theme park ticket numbers to link tickets of other members of your party to your MyDisney account or select "Camera" to scan a barcode or QR code. The tickets and shared experiences will remain linked until the tickets are no longer valid. Yay! Now you're ready to zoom in the fast lane!

As soon as you (or anyone in your party who has a Lightning Lane Multi Pass) enter either theme park, you can use the Tip Board in the Disneyland app to choose a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction, book the next available time to ride it, and select the party people who are joining.  Make a reservation for one attraction at a time OR after two hours have passed, whichever comes first. So, Alice, I suggest you set yourself a reminder on your phone to make sure you reserve a Lightning Lane every two hours! This way you'll maximize your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and experience more on your Disneyland day.

I can understand how Lightning Lanes can feel a bit confusing right now, Alice, but I promise the whole process will make a lot more sense once you're there and actually doing it.

Alice, I sincerely hope you have the most magical visit with your family. If your 3-year-old grandson is anything like my two boys were at that age, they will especially adore Cars Land and meeting Disney Pals! There's also a brand-new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show currently happening in California Adventure - an upbeat, interactive, mini-musical that's sure to delight the whole family. Check the entertainment schedule in the Disneyland app for showtimes on the day of your visit.

Oh, there's so much more I'd love to share, Alice, like attractions the whole family can enjoy together and where to find kid favorite foods, so please feel free to stop by again and ask me another question!

But no matter how you decide to spend your day at the Happiest Place on Earth, remember, Grandma - you are the Magic.

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla
