If you bring just a water bottle, do you have to stop at bag check at the park entrances?

    Hi Jeanne!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

In my opinion, one of the keys to a successful Walt Disney World Resort vacation is to make sure you stay well hydrated. I often find myself shocked at just how far I travel in one day. On my last adventure, I found myself on a thrilling Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I then climbed atop a winged mountain banshee and took flight over Pandora. When I finally caught my breath, I traveled to a Galaxy Far Far away to a planet called Batuu, where I joined The Resistance. Batuu has three suns and was so warm during my travels, that my water bottle (and that delicious blue milk) got me through to my next adventure when I went Soarin’ Around the World at Epcot. Phew, I need a refill on my water now.

The Walt Disney World Resort takes the safety of all Guests and Cast Members very seriously. Typically, if you are only carrying a water bottle, you may be able to go through the security/screening check for Guests without bags, if available. However, it is important to keep in mind that “All persons, bags, parcels, clothing, and other items may be subject to screening/security checks.” At any given time, a Cast Member may direct you to the security screening checkpoint for guests with bags, and you may even be directed to pass through a metal detector. Rest assured that if you do have to wait in line with those Guests traveling with bags, it has been my experience that these screening lines move quickly.

    Adventure is out there!
