Can I bring water, beer, or wine with me on the Disney Wish?

    Ahoy there, Megan!

Oh my goodness, your magical sailing on the gorgeous Disney Wish is nearly here! I’m so excited for you to experience this stunning ship and everything included onboard. Absolutely, you can certainly bring your favorite wine, beer, and even bottled water onboard. Let’s dig into those details together so you can plan what to pack, and how to best bring it along with you.

First, there is no technical limit to the amount of bottled water you may bring. However, this must be brought onboard in your carry-on bag which cannot be larger than 14” x 9” x 22” so you will reach a maximum capacity. Please remember you will have your carry-on with you for a few hours as you explore the ship prior to your stateroom being ready, and water can be heavy. My family buys bottled water for our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort, but we enjoy the taste of the freshly made water onboard Disney Cruise Line. There are complimentary beverage stations on deck where you can enjoy endless refills of this fresh tasting water, soda, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. I suggest packing a spillproof bottle or favorite insulated tumbler in lieu of bottled water for a cruise. You can also order a bottled water package through Onboard Gifts and Amenities to have this waiting for you in your stateroom rather than carrying it with you.

Each adult may bring up to two bottles of wine OR six beers each (no larger than 12 ounces per beer) onboard, in your carry-on bag. These must be in their original, sealed containers and clearly labelled. Every stateroom has a refrigerator so once your room is ready you can place it there to chill and know it’s waiting for you later that evening!

My husband and I enjoy the special beverage tastings offered onboard too, Megan. On our cruise this summer we really enjoyed the Champagne Tasting to try new vintages and we always learn so much from the facilitators who have a true passion for their subject.

I hope this helps you finalize your packing list for this special sailing and know what to expect for bringing your own beverages onboard. I always err on the side of bringing less than I think we’ll need because I also want to enjoy things like the Drink of the Day (find this daily special in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App). Somehow, having someone else create a craft cocktail just for me and being served on a glamorous pool deck truly feels like a vacation! Wishing you safe travels and an amazing adventure ahead.

    Cheers to your magical cruise,
    Amy
