Ahoy there, Brenda!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question.
I typically start each Disney cruise with either a mint mojito or pina colada to get in “Vacation Mode”. (My husband teases me all the time about this!) Besides mixed drinks, I enjoy sipping on wine as well, especially out on the verandah enjoying the calming waves.
Disney Cruise Line has a generous
alcohol policy (compared to most cruise lines) that allows each Guest over the age of 21 to bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 mL) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the sailing AND at each
port of call. Unfortunately, hard liquors or spirits are not allowed to be brought onboard to be consumed; therefore, you will not be able to substitute the vodka and rum bottles as your 2-wine bottle allowance.
When you visit a port of call and purchase any liquor or spirit, you can bring the unopened bottle(s) with you back to the ship. When you go through security to reboard the ship, the crew members will take your newly purchased liquor or spirt to be stored until the end of your cruise. We purchased limoncello in one of the ports of call on a recent European sailing; our bottle was stored for the remainder of the sailing and we retrieved it at the end of the cruise.
I hope this helps as you continue to plan your upcoming cruise, Brenda. Please don’t hesitate to visit us on
planDisney again.
Bon voyage,
Kiki
