Hello, Melissa!
I’m so glad you have a great love for the wonderful
Disney characters that can be found at the Walt Disney World Resort. I think it is really sweet that you want to share your talent and show appreciation for them. Unfortunately, you may not take a musical instrument with you when visiting the
theme parks.
Walt Disney World Resort property rules prohibit activities that may obstruct paths or interfere with the flow of other guests. I’ve seen Cast Members at a security checkpoint decline to allow a Guest to take in a musical instrument for that reason.
I’ve got an idea though! While live performances are definitely special, you might consider a few possible alternatives. You could make video recordings of yourself playing various songs and have the recordings stored on your mobile device. If you take a moment to playback your recordings to characters you meet, I’m sure they would be very appreciative. You might also consider recording your performance on a compact disc. My friend
Julie suggests that you could ask the characters to sign the CD cover for you to keep as a souvenir. That way, you could share the magic of
Disney music with them and you can take a little remembrance of your encounter back home with you!
I’m really glad you have come by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question today, Melissa. I hope that you can enjoy that special visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth soon. As you prepare for your holiday, I hope you will stop by to ask us any more questions you may have.
Have a magical day!
