    Can you still bring umbrella's into the parks?

    Hey there, Tina, and welcome to planDisney! The best way to prepare for a Walt Disney World Vacation is to expect the unexpected. And with the unpredictable weather pattern in Central Florida, you never know when you’ll need your umbrella!

    Tina, I have some good news - umbrellas are allowed into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. So no matter how dreary the forecast is, you can still enjoy everything that the Theme Parks have to offer. If you decide to bring your umbrella with you to the parks, I recommend removing it from your bag as you approach the security checkpoint. If not removed, the umbrella will trigger the metal detector and likely land you a secondary security check. I also suggest packing a poncho in your park bag. You never know when a Walt Disney World rain shower will turn into a downpour, and you may need some extra help staying dry!
