Can you bring a toy sword on a Disney Cruise for Pirate Night as part of a child's costume?

    Ahoy, Jill!

Arr, matey, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love to "sea" Guests getting into the spirit of their upcoming voyage by letting out their inner pirate! Packing can be stressful, but Disney Cruise Line makes it easy by offering a Packing List for Disney Cruises. I reference this list before every cruise to make sure I'm not forgetting anything from home.

You're asking about my favorite night on the high seas! Pirate Night is so much fun! I'm happy to share that Guests may bring store-bought swords onboard with them to accompany their costumes on Pirate Night! Please be advised that the swords need to look like play swords, though. Disney Cruise Line will not allow swords that are realistic looking. Most play swords that you find online or at the store will be just fine; I just wanted to mention that they need to look like make believe swords.

To further complete your pirate-y transformation, I recommend booking an appointment for a magical makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on Pirate Night because it turns into The Pirates League! These transformations are offered to Guests 3 years of age and older, so the entire family can look like scalawags!
