Ahoy there, Nancy! Thank you for sailing by planDisney before you sail away on Disney Cruise Line.
Port Adventures are independently operated, so I am unsure of the specifics of the excursion you are referring to, but larger tents, beach umbrellas, and similar items are not allowed to be brought onboard the ship. Small pop-up tents designed for infants are allowable, though. Many of the beach Port Adventures have umbrellas available, but they may be at an additional cost. I suggest that you have some cash on hand just in case you need to rent an umbrella. You may be able to find out more information through an internet search as well.
Pack a beach bag or tote so that you can have a hat, sunscreen, and other essentials to keep you safe while outside for a while during your Port Adventure. It's important to stay hydrated as well, so I usually pack a reusable water bottle from home to take with me when I'm off the ship and while walking around the ship. You can purchase bottled water or refill your bottle at the water stations.
Every member of your traveling party, even children, needs their
Key to the World card or
DisneyBand+ to debark the ship. Guests 18 years and older also need a photo ID to debark. If you do not have the card or DisneyBand+ with you as you try to leave the gangway, you will be asked to return to your stateroom to retrieve it.
Nancy, I hope you have a magical vacation on Disney Cruise Line. If you have any other questions, come back to visit us at
planDisney.
Bon Voyage!
