Hi there, Aidan! Welcome to
planDisney. You’ve made a great decision to reserve the
World of Color Dessert Party. Not only are the desserts delectable, but the view also can’t be beat.
World of Color Happiness! is an amazing show that really hits you in the feelings. You’ll have a clear view and comfy seats to enjoy the show!
I have two bits of less-than-awesome news. First, the website clearly states that strollers are to be parked outside the viewing area. I think this means that you may be enjoying the show with a child sleeping on your shoulder. The other bit I need to point out is that guests who are 3 or older must be a part of the reservation, meaning you will need to pay for them to experience the dessert party and viewing area. The 2-year-old can attend, but must sit on the lap of someone in your party.
Aidan, I’m sure you were hoping for a much different answer. I completely understand. Situations like these require some perspective, though. You say that they may not make it to the end of the night, but they may also fall asleep in their stroller for a bit, and then wake up for the dessert party and show. There will most likely be a 9:00 pm showtime and reservations around 8:30 pm. I know that paying for your three-year-old may not have been in the budget, but it also could add up to a magical family memory. I’m not sure how often you visit, but this experience could be a highlight of your trip, and it may be a long time until you’re back at the park and making memories with your kids.
If you decide to go for it, be sure to
book your reservation right away when your 60-day reservation window opens (that would be September 17th if you plan to reserve on the arrival date you indicated). These reservations are sometimes taken quickly, and I know it’ll be important to get the best reservation time for your little ones.
Aidan, this time of year is very special. It’s close to the time that
Disneyland usually transforms into
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. That means beautiful winter decorations, characters dressed up for the holidays, and holiday entertainment like parades and nighttime spectaculars! It’s a magical experience, and I hope you'll be there for it. Keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for the official announcement about when Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begins, and what special holiday treats will be offered in the parks!
Aidan, I hope the World of Color Dessert Party becomes a reality for your family. If you’re able to get a reservation and you think your little ones can handle it, I’m sure it will be a wonderful part of your trip. If you have any other questions for us, feel free to bring them to
planDisney.
I hope you have a magical day!
