Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica!
As someone whose complexion is as white as one of the resident ghosts in the
Haunted Mansion, I am a sunscreen expert, and I’m happy to confirm that spray sunscreens are allowed at Walt Disney World Resort. I highly recommend checking the
Park Rules to be sure your sunscreen and any items you pack in your park bag are compliant with the rules, which will make getting through security a little easier each day. If you’re flying, remember that the TSA has rules about traveling with liquids, so check those rules before packing your checked and carry-on luggage (I had to give a full bottle of sunscreen to the TSA on my last visit because I forgot it was in my carry-on backpack, which I had used in the parks all week).
I’m happy to hear you’re planning to keep your skin protected during your Disney days. I always pack hats to keep that hot Florida sun off our faces, and water bottles to keep us hydrated. You can fill your water bottles at drinking fountains, and request ice and ice water at any Quick-Service dining location. If you forget the sunscreen one day, you’ll find bottles (spray and lotion) at most of the gift shops. Once you’ve taken care of all these things you can sing, like my pal
Olaf, “just imagine how much cooler I’ll be in summer!”
Jessica, I see your visit to Walt Disney World is coming up in just a few short weeks, and I’m so excited for you. I love to read the
Disney Parks Blog as I count down the days; there are always so many fun stories about new experiences and tasty treats that get me so excited for vacation. I hope your trip is wonderful and that you soak up all the
summer fun!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
