Greetings, Dina, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth, so let’s get started!
I’m happy to report that yes, you are welcome to bring snacks into the Disneyland Resort theme parks! There are just a few rules to keep in mind while you’re packing up. First, per the
Disneyland Resort Rules, coolers can’t exceed 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. Also, if you’re bringing any cooler items, I recommend packing a re-usable ice pack, since loose and dry ice aren’t allowed inside coolers. Glass containers and alcoholic beverages can’t be brought into the theme parks, either.
If you’re looking for a comfortable spot to enjoy your snacks, I recommend checking out the
Picnic Area, located just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. There’s also a handy
Locker Rental nearby, where you can store your cooler or bag after your meal.
If you’d like to avoid carrying a heavy water bottle all day, I recommend asking for complimentary cups of ice water from any
quick-service dining locations throughout your Disney days. This is one of my favorite tips, especially on a warm California day!
As the mom of three Mouseketeers ages 8 and under, I always pack extra snacks to have on hand. Typically, you can find my backpack filled with granola bars, fruit snacks, food pouches, and chips. My children’s latest obsession is the Goofy’s Candy Co. Character Gummies, (available throughout the Resort) so I usually pick up several packs to have on hand.
Don’t forget to save room for some of my favorite Disneyland Resort treats, too! From
Churros to
Mickey Beignets, to
DOLE WHIPS and
Popcorn, there’s truly something for everyone!
Wishing you a tasty, memorable visit to the Disneyland Resort, Dina!
