Hi there, Melissa!
Welcome to planDisney, it's so nice to meet you! I'm a big believer in being prepared in the parks, you're a smart Mouseketeer! Let's get packing, shall we?
It's always a good idea to check the
Park Rules to see what items are prohibited before your visit. When it comes to bags, you can't bring any cooler or backpack larger than 24" long, 15" wide, and 18" high. A cooler that fits in those dimensions is fine! Just make sure that you don't bring loose ice, glass containers, or knives. Reusable ice packs work well, and sometimes I freeze tubes of yogurt to keep our other items cool and then we eat them at lunch!
If you're traveling with little ones in a stroller it's also good to check that it fits within the size restrictions for the parks. Strollers must be no larger than 31" wide and 52" long, and wagons are not allowed. If you need to you can always
rent a stroller at the park! Getting back to your cooler, some of my favorite snacks to bring with us to the parks are:
- Grapes
- Carrots
- Cucumbers
- Yogurt tubes
- Crackers
- Granola bars
- Fruit snacks
We always bring water bottles with us, too! There are plenty of filling stations to keep them full.
Don't let my snack list fool you...we still buy plenty of yummy snacks in the parks. But it's nice to have some of the things our kids eat all the time to balance out the popcorn and churros! My all-time favorite treat in the parks is a DOLE Whip Float from the
Tiki Juice Bar. You'll need to use the
Disneyland Mobile App to place an order at this location (don't worry, it's super easy) and then you can enjoy all that pineapple awesomeness inside
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Don't forget to sing along!
Pack wisely and have a fantastic time in the parks, Melissa!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
