Hi there, Yvette!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, fellow Texan! Before you know it, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here, and I am sure you are counting down the days until it begins! Magic and memories await you in Orlando and I am so excited for you and your family!
Thank you for bringing a great question to us to answer! To me, strollers are a necessity when visiting the theme parks because…well…. little legs get tired from all that walking and at the end of the day, no one wants to be carrying littles back when everyone’s legs are tired! Strollers need to be collapsed completely when using the bus or boat
transportation, so I understand your hesitation about bringing a big and bulky stroller with you. If you were to bring an umbrella stroller with you to the theme park and choose to rent a stroller upon entering, I do not believe they would be able to store it for you, but you can easily “park it” somewhere for the day. We have done that on previous visits when our boys claimed to be “big boys” and wanted to walk instead of use the stroller. We actually just parked our strollers close to an attraction and went back for them later when, as expected, they got tired of walking! I would recommend making sure your stroller has some sort of name tag or label on it if doing this, though.
The
strollers available for rent at the theme parks are made of molded plastic, so depending on the age(s) of your little ones, you may prefer to bring your own stroller from home, even if it is a larger one. We always found our boys to be more comfortable in their own stroller and we were able to navigate it better, too!
Hopefully this helps guide you in deciding what is best for your family’s needs for your upcoming trip! Before you know it, you will be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. on your way to make memories that will last a lifetime!
