Ahoy there, Quyen!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re charting a course for the ultimate double-island adventure, with stops at both
Castaway Cay and
Lookout Cay. Those itineraries are my absolute favorites—double the beaches, double the magic, and double the opportunities for sand between your toes!
When it comes to bringing tents aboard, Disney Cruise Line’s policy is to keep things shipshape and safe—so camping tents and children’s play tents aren’t allowed. That said, small pop-up beach tents are permitted for use on Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay. These are typically intended for shading the tiniest buccaneers, so while Disney doesn’t publish an exact measurement limit, your tent’s dimensions sound like they may sail just outside the “infant-size” range they have in mind.
But here’s the silver lining (or should I say golden sunshine?): both islands are stocked with plenty of complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, ready to help you soak in the views without soaking up too much sun. My crew and I have never had to walk the plank when it comes to
finding a shady spot—especially if we head ashore as soon as the all-clear is given. You might even spot a hammock swaying gently between two palms, practically calling your name for a post-lunch snooze worthy of Sleeping Beauty herself.
I hope this helps you plan for smooth sailing on your beach days and gives you peace of mind that you’ll have plenty of shade, even without your pop-up tent. Whether you’re strolling the soft sand at Castaway Cay or taking in the Bahamian beauty of Lookout Cay, you’re in for a treasure trove of memories.
Sea ya real soon as we ride the wave of summer’s final stretch in Disney style,
Dustin
