Can I bring a small plastic bottle of Hydrin peroxide due to having a open wound that needs to stay clean?

    Hi John!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out to us hEAR with your Disneyland Resort planning question!

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you'll be visiting The Happiest Place on Earth with a boo-boo! I think this is going to be a judgment call of the Security Team working the bag check area. While hydrogen peroxide is a medical need, a bottle of it could sure do some damage if accidentally spilled. I'm not saying that the answer is no, but I'm also not saying that Security will for sure let it in, either. While it's not on the 'Prohibited Items' list, Security does have the final say in certain matters, and in my experience, they'll err on the side of caution. You can certainly try; the only rule about outside liquids is no alcohol, so you can bring any size bottle you can find. You'll for sure want to keep it in a plastic baggie, maybe even double bag it. And also make sure that you bring a new, sealed bottle so that if you're questioned they'll know it's new and not possibly something else. But I would also encourage you to have a backup plan by also bringing cleaning wipes or a spray if you can, and think about storing it in a Locker Rental vs. a backpack or purse since those will go on each attraction with you.

Did you know that each of Disney's theme parks has a First Aid location? These centers are equipped with everything needed to assist with all kinds of minor ouchies. They're even staffed by Registered Nurses! The First Aid locations are fully stocked with bandages, nausea medicine, electrolyte-enhanced beverages, and even hydrogen peroxide to clean all kinds of bumps and bruises. And best of all, these handy fixer-uppers are complimentary! So if your hydrogen peroxide doesn't make the cut, at least there are two places on the property that can help you clean yours.

I hope that this helped to better plan your upcoming Disney Day, John! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
