Can I bring a small pet stroller to haul my small cooler and purchases in even though I don't have a small child?

    Hi Natalie,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to bring us your question. I have to say, this one is a first! A pet stroller as a rolling snack-and-souvenir command center? That is a creative park strategy right there. I respect the efficiency!

Here’s the important part straight from Walt Disney World Resort policy so you can plan with confidence: Strollers are allowed in the theme parks, even if you don’t have a child riding in them (I made sure to check with a Cast Member on this!), as long as they meet the size requirements. Per Disney’s official rules, strollers must be no larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. Anything bigger than that won’t be permitted. And wagons (including stroller wagons) are not allowed in the parks.

As for coolers, small soft-sided coolers are permitted for personal use. Just make sure they’re not any larger than 24 inches long x 15 inches wide x 18 inches high. Loose ice and dry ice are not permitted, so you’ll want to use reusable ice packs instead.

Now, if I may, let’s talk real-life park flow for a sec. While your idea is pretty brilliant, pushing extra gear all day can get old fast. Especially weaving through crowds, parking it for attractions, and retrieving it again. Sometimes, less really is more in the parks. I couldn’t wait until my kids outgrew their strollers so we could do Disney with less baggage. It was a game-changer when they finally did!

So, with that in mind, here are a few alternatives to consider so you’re not hauling half your kitchen:

You can get complimentary cups of ice water at any quick-service dining location that serves fountain beverages. That alone saves cooler space.

Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering in the My Disney Experience app makes snack stops quick and easy, so you can grab items when you want them instead of carrying them all day.

And of course, you can always use a lightweight backpack instead if you decide you’d rather travel a little more streamlined. And you can stash it in a locker if you want a break from carrying it!

Natalie, I love that you’re thinking ahead and planning smart. There’s no better way to ensure a smooth and magical visit to the most magical place on earth! Just make sure your setup meets the official size guidelines, stick with soft-sided coolers, and you’ll be good to go.

I hope this helps answer your question! If you have any additional planning questions or want more tips, you know where to find us!
