Can I bring a small ‘folding tripod stool’? Small enough it fits in a rucksack? I know there are plenty of seating areas - it’s the queues I struggle with - standing for long periods causes me a lot of pains

My warmest welcome to planDisney, Sally!

While folding chairs or stools are not allowed in Walt Disney World, I have seen Guests using a walking cane with a seat and rollators, again with seats. You can always double-check what you intend to bring with Disability Services by emailing disability.services@disneyparks.com.

Now, we Brits know a thing or two about a walk, but the warmer Floridan skies may warrant using an ECV or wheelchair rental to help you explore all the magic at Walt Disney World Resort! You can rent day-by-day or, if you prefer, for your entire stay through providers such as ScooterBug. Most attractions allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs until boarding an attraction.

Another suggestion, once you arrive at Walt Disney World, would be to speak with Guest Services about the Disability Access Service (DAS), which helps Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue due to a disability. My final tip would be to research Disney's Genie+ service. This paid service provides access to Lightning Lanes, where you can expect shorter queues for attractions. It may help to stave over any leg pains.

Remember to sprinkle some rides with shorter wait times and sit-down entertainment throughout your day. Mickey's PhilharMagic is a must-see each visit to Magic Kingdom Park.

Sally, I hope my response was helpful. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday at Walt Disney World, filled with magic.
