Hi there, Cesar. Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for bringing this really cool question to us. Planning for morning breakfast items, cool drinks, or after-park snacks receives my full support. I like your style! There are a few things to consider, though, so let’s get into it.
First, check with the hotel you’re staying at for any specific rules regarding coolers. What you consider a small cooler may not be what your hotel considers a small cooler. I also thought I’d point out that if you’re staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or
Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, most rooms are equipped with a minifridge. If your needs are more than that, a small cooler should be acceptable.
I also want to make sure you only intend to bring a cooler for your room, and not the parks.
The Resort Rules state that “...coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Reusable ice packs are recommended.” I bring this up because if you are stopped at the security checkpoint with an item that doesn’t adhere to these guidelines, security will either ask you to leave it behind or walk it all the way back to your room.
I’m not sure when you’re headed to the parks, but there is so much coming up to get excited for! From now until April 27th, the
California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is taking place. Purchase a
Sip and Savor Pass to enjoy six different dishes, treats, or non-alcoholic drinks from the various Festival Marketplaces! The
Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide has all the info to figure out what you want to try.
Cesar, I hope your trip is a fantastic one. If you have any other planning questions for us, don’t wait - bring them straight to us at
planDisney. I hope you have a magical day!
