Hi there, Ashley! Welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation countdown is into single digits now! Are you getting excited? Just think, before you know it, you'll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A!
I totally understand why you'd be thinking about resting those tired feet during a busy Disney day. After all, I've clocked almost 20,000 steps in a single day at Walt Disney World. That's a lot of Mickey ice cream sandwiches burned off!
According to the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, Policies, & Regulations, folding chairs are among the items you can't bring into the Theme Parks, so I would say that your folding stool, even though it's small, would most likely not be allowed. However, if you have someone in your party with
mobility issues, you do have a few options. My mom had some trouble getting around, so we rented a wheelchair on her last visit. You can do that right in the Theme Parks, and there are both push chairs and
electric scooters available for rent. Alternatively, mobility devices like rollators, which are wheeled walkers with a seat, and walking canes with a stool attached are allowed. Also, you'll find lots of benches and other seating around the Parks when you just need to take a load off.
On the other hand, if you're
planning for little ones that may get tired as the day goes on, you might want to consider a stroller. You can also
rent strollers at the Theme Parks, but we found that bringing along a small folding umbrella stroller worked well for us when our son was little. They're super lightweight and easy to manage, and I think they're more comfortable than the molded plastic of the rentals. And of course, a midday break back at
your Disney Resort hotel for a swim and a nap is not only great for the kids, but for Mom and Dad, too!
I hope this helps you plan an exciting - and yet restful! - Walt Disney World vacation, Ashley. Please come see us again if you have any more questions, and have FUN!!!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
