Hi there, Abigail. Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your question. I'm delighted to help.
I imagine you're getting excited with your upcoming visit rapidly approaching. The Disneyland Resort values all Guests and welcomes
Service Animals. A service animal is defined as "any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability."
I did reach out to a couple of Cast Members via phone and chat and learned that no documentation is required at the time of, or prior to your visit. Your furry and friendly service dog will need to be on a leash or in a harness and be in your control at all times. There are several areas throughout the resort where you can take your service dog for restroom relief. Open the
Disneyland app and tap on the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen (to the left of the three horizontal bars). Type in "Service Animals" into the search bar and you'll find all Service Animal Relief Areas on the map. Something additional to keep in mind, there are
restricted locations and attractions that service animals are not permitted to ride. For a fun souvenir, think about finding Pluto for a cute photo with your service dog to remember your magical visit!
This year is a great time to visit with the
Disney100 Celebration beginning this week on January 27. During your visit, you will also be able to catch the last few days of the
Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure Park. If you have time, I highly recommend checking out this festival.
I hope this has been helpful, Abigail. I'm very excited about your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm wishing you and your service dog a magical time. If you have any other questions, please come back to visit us.
See ya real soon,
Michelle
