Hi Kimberly! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You have three excellent choices for Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on your itinerary! I'm even getting excited as I think about how much fun you are going to have Soarin' Around the World in Epcot, spotting exotic animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and picking up hitchhiking ghosts on your Doom Buggy at Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom Park. Yay!
While scissors are not listed specifically on the list of prohibited items in the theme parks, the
Park Rules do state that
"Other items that we determine may be harmful or disruptive" are prohibited. Also, in the
list of Restricted Personal Items in says,
"Please use your best judgment and do not bring anything that may be potentially harmful or disruptive." I am fairly certain that scissors would fall in the category of "potentially" harmful and recommend that you
not try to take them with you into the theme parks. Security is very thorough when it comes to Guest safety and they will probably ask you to either return them to your car or throw them away.
Should you need scissors for something like opening an item, the Cast Members inside merchandise locations can probably help you out! They probably have some available for their use. You also might want to stop by the
Baby Care Centers,
First Aid Stations, or Guest Relations and ask a Cast Member for assistance.
I hope I have helped answer your question, Kimberly! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
