Hey howdy hey, Madison.
Welcome to planDisney! You're only a few weeks away from embarking on your vacation to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. Pretty soon you'll be standing right in the middle of Main Street, U.S.A with a churro in hand and gazing upon Cinderella Castle. I bet you can't wait!
Thank you for this excellent question. Walt Disney World Resort is the crème de la crème when it comes to accommodating the needs of their Guests. I'm happy to report that
service animals are allowed on Walt Disney World Resort property,
including all of the available transportation options. Keep in mind a service animal is defined as a dog or miniature horse that is trained to perform tasks for an individual with a disability. Service animals must be leashed or on a harness and under your control at all times. There are designated pet relief areas throughout the theme parks and Resorts where your furry friend can relieve themselves.
Service animals are welcome pretty much everywhere on property except in water of any kind, and certain attractions may not allow them to ride. In these instances, you can utilize
Rider Switch with another member of your traveling party. You can speak to a Cast Member at these attractions for more information on how to do this.
I encourage you to contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email
disability.services@disneyparks.com ahead of your trip. They should be able to answer any of the questions you have regarding bringing your service animal with you. I also encourage you to contact a friendly Cast Member at (407) 934-7639 for specific questions regarding your service animal and
Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
Madison, you'll arrive right in time to experience one of my favorite annual events at Walt Disney World Resort, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. I encourage you to try and make it to EPCOT on one of your first trip days, because the Festival's last day is February 21, 2022. There are so many delicious culinary art creations to sample at the food studios throughout the park, and there are fun interactive offerings to partake in as well. Don't miss the Expression Section: A Paint by Numbers Mural across from The Land Pavilion where you can paint a mural with other Guests.
I hope it eases your mind knowing you can bring you service animal along with you on your magical vacation, Madison. Have a wonderful time making memories, and say hi to Mickey Mouse for me!
You are the magic,
Alyssa
