Hiya Nichole,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited that you are here and planning a visit in October! I love Halloween, but I’m not really into the kind of scary that gives you nightmares, which is why I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the spooky season. We are almost halfway to Halloween, so I cannot wait to see what is being cooked up by Imagineers for this year (don’t forget to check out
Disney Parks Blog for the announcements)!
Before we chat more about your itinerary, Nichole, let’s get to your question. I’m known to be a bit of a rule follower, so I appreciate that you are thinking ahead about what is and isn’t allowed in Walt Disney World theme parks. I took a look at the
Property Rules and didn’t see anything that restricts how you bring in your medication, Nichole. As a matter of fact, I often bring in a small pill organizer with me when I visit, in case I need my prescription medication for my headaches. I did want to confirm with a Cast Member, however, and they confirmed that you should be able to carry in your medications in a pill box. Now, I do want to let you know that the guidelines are subject to change, so be sure to take a peek before you arrive, just to make sure you are still good to go (Cast Members also have final discretion on what is and isn’t permitted, so please keep that in mind), but in my experience, you should be okay.
I hope this was helpful, Nichole. Before I let you go, I know we are a little ways away from your visit, but it is never too early to start thinking about your must-dos. Which dining locations are on your must-try list? Are you going to have a spooktacular time at
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? There are so many ways to make your vacation incredible, and we would love to help you think through them all. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
