Hi Christy! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by and asking this great question.
I'm happy to hear you're planning a vacation at
The Happiest Place on Earth! While I love the weather in California, sometimes it can be a little toasty depending on the time of year you are visiting. If you would like to bring portable neck fans to either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, you can! Portable neck fans are not on the
list of items not permitted within the theme parks.
If you are looking for other ways to stay cool, I have a couple of suggestions! At
Disneyland Park, there are some great entertainment options to will help you get off your feet and into the shade! One of my favorites is
Storytelling at Royal Theatre. The hosts, Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones, are so funny and the show is interactive so you feel like you are part of the fairytale that's being brought to life! Before you enter the theatre, I highly recommend getting a Boysen Apple Freeze from
Maurice's Treats which is right across from the theatre entrance. It's so yummy and refreshing!
Tale of the Lion King in
Fantasyland is another fantastic show that you don't want to miss and it's another great way to take a break while enjoying some entertainment.
When you want to take a break at
Disney California Adventure Park,
Animation Academy in
Hollywood Land has the air conditioning pumping and offers so many fun activities such as
Turtle Talk with Crush and
Sorcerer's Workshop! If you don't mind getting wet, you can also cool off on
Grizzly River Run!
Christy, I hope this information helps and gets you excited about your Disneyland Resort vacation. If you have more questions, we have answers at
planDisney! We would love to help you, so please visit us again!
Stay cool!
Smiles,
Lisa
