Can we bring in a Portable Folding Stool, 2.5 to 18 inch so that telescopic stool is suitable for kids and adults.

Hey howdy hey, Pricilla! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney, so let’s get started!

Your May getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth is going to be here before you know it, so I’m glad you’re starting to plan ahead! I can definitely understand the desire to sit down and rest those weary feet after a busy day at the Disneyland Resort. I checked the Disneyland Resort Rules, and unfortunately, they state that folding chairs are not allowed in either of the theme parks or in Downtown Disney District. So, even though your portable folding stool is small, I don’t believe it would be allowed. However, there is an exception for cane-chairs and seat-walker mobility aids, if you think either of those could be helpful during your visit.

If you happen to have someone in your group with a mobility issue, you do have a few options, including wheelchair or electronic conveyance vehicle (ECV) rentals. These can be rented on a daily basis just to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Or, if the need is for a child, you can also rent a single or double stroller from Stroller Rentals, which is also located to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance.

My family and I have a few favorite activities we head to when it’s time to take a rest, starting with a ride on the Disneyland Railroad. This is the perfect opportunity to rest your feet while taking in the sights and sounds of Disneyland Park and listening to a fun narration, too. In Disney California Adventure Park, we enjoy visiting The Disney Animation Building, which features the Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby. This air-conditioned area offers plenty of couches to sit on. Plus, you’ll be entertained by still images and video clips that illustrate the creative process – it’s so much fun to watch! Once inside, take your art skills to the next level at Animation Academy, which is a great way to rest while still being entertained.

Last but not least, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day, so you can start mapping out your magical plans. I’m excited to report that you have several amazing nighttime spectaculars to choose from that evening, including the Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever fireworks in Disneyland Park, and World of Color in Disney California Adventure Park! Please stop back with any additional questions you may have… we’re all EARs!

Wishing you a magical, memorable visit, Pricilla!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
