Hi Leslie!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!
This question is one after my own heart. I'm a Texan so that means I love Dr Pepper through and through. But Mickey signed some deal a long, long time ago so
Disneyland Resort,
Walt Disney World Resort,
Disney Cruise Line, and the
Disney Vacation Club properties all only serve Coca-Cola products. I'm very happy to share that yes, you can bring outside food and drinks with you to The Happiest Place on Earth.
There are a few rules, though, when it comes to bringing outside food and beverages:
~ Mickey kindly asks that you refrain from bringing anything in glass bottles or containers. (The exception to this is baby food in those really cute little glass jars.)
~ Absolutely no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed
~ You may bring a cooler as long as it is smaller than 24" long by 15" wide by 18" high. There are extra large
rentable lockers near the
Picnic Area that will accommodate this size if you don't want to carry it around with you all day.
~ Please no loose ice; ice can be bagged up in gallon-sized plastic baggies or tied up in a grocery bag, or you can use a frozen reusable ice pack, etc. (Security will need to go through every bag and cooler so this is more for their ease of sEARching your items than it is Mickey not liking melting water.)
So those are the don'ts. What's not on the list is a size limit to the container of soda you can bring with you. You're more than welcome to bring a two-liter in your cooler and share it with your group at the
Picnic Area. You can even bring that size container with you into the parks if you're feeling up to it. I've brought in an entire case of bottled water in the bottom of my stroller before as I was with a group and it just made sense. Whatever makes you happy (within the rules) at The Happiest Place on Earth works! Ps - There are even recycling cans all over the resort for when you're done with your delicious drinks!
I hope that this answer helped to better plan your upcoming Disney days, Leslie! Be sure to follow the
