Hey there David! Thanks for bringing a great question to planDisney.
We love to bring in our own snacks and a reusable water bottle during our trips. It's a helpful way to tide us over until our next meal, and also a great way to save some money while visiting the parks!
I chatted with a helpful Cast Member, and while electric lunch boxes are not specifically on the list of
prohibited items, the ability to bring in the lunch box will be at the discretion of security upon your arrival to the Disneyland Resort. There also are not a ton of electrical outlets available for Guest use throughout the theme parks. Finally, I did want to mention that there are also specific size requirements for coolers stated in the
property rules, and loose ice as well as dry ice are not permitted.
It may be easiest to bring a regular lunch box that fits within the size guidelines with re-usable ice packs, or even pack some non-perishable items in your park bag. If you did not want to carry around the lunch box throughout the day, you also could look into renting a locker, there are
locker rentals available in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, as well as in the Esplanade in the Downtown Disney District.
I'm wishing you and your family a very happy visit, David! If we can help with any other questions before or after your trip,
please come back to planDisney, we're here to help!
Have a magical day,
Melissa
