Hi Donna!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for sailing by with your question about an upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. My family just got off a Disney Cruise Line ship last week and I am already ready to go back!
Disney Cruise Line voyages are filled with non-stop activities and entertainment, but I think my family’s favorite onboard event may be
Pirate Night! My boys love dressing up in swashbuckling pirate garb to visit the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for their Pirates League makeover and then joining in on the festivities and activities throughout the evening! We love ending our night with the Pirate Night deck party complete with a spectacular firework display (weather permitting, of course)! Also check to see if your voyage has the Pirate Night buffet in Cabanas after the deck party and if so, make a point to stop by! My family somehow missed that on previous sailings but enjoyed it on our most recent sailing! Get your fill of late-night snacks alongside the other Pirates onboard.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to participate in dressing up for the themed Pirate Night. You may bring onboard store-bought swords to complete your Pirate-themed outfit, but please be advised that if they are realistic-looking toys those cannot be brought onboard. So, use judgement when packing and go ahead and bring the most playful looking one you’ve got! On our last cruise, we brought some inflatable swords and my boys LOVED those! And I didn’t have to worry about them accidently hitting someone when they were busy protecting me from “enemy pirates”!
Have the most magical of adventures at sea, Donna!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
