What can we bring into parks in backpacks?

    Hi Patricia,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family always brings a backpack for our must-have park items, and I’m happy to share some ideas with you for what to bring.

In terms of what you are not permitted to bring in your backpack, and restrictions on the size of your bag, please take a look at the park rules. I recommend making sure your backpack is comfortable enough to wear all day (or that you all agree to share carrying duties), and that it’s not so big that it’s hard to stash at your feet on attractions.

Patricia, our backpack must-packs are: empty water bottles (we fill them at water fountains throughout the day), sunscreen, extra storage baggies (sometimes you want to save food from a meal for later, and they’re also great if an item gets wet), and an external battery or charger for your smartphone. Don’t forget a few Band-Aids, hand sanitizer, and baby wipes (trust me on the wipes: one Mickey bar requires multiple wipes for my kids). You may also want to pack a change of clothes if you have any little ones, or, depending on when you’re visiting, a jacket or sweatshirt if you’ll be in the parks until the evenings. Our essential park bag item is snacks: bring lots and lots of snacks!

Wishing you a magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
