Can we bring a 6 pack of palm bay style cans that are vodka based instead of malt based? I know we can bring a 6 pack of beer but wasn’t sure these would pass…

Ahoy there Jason, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping us a line!

One of the questions that always seems to come up when I mention Disney Cruise Line to some people is a variation of, "but can you even drink on a Disney Cruise?"

    Oh if only they knew!

With Beverage Tastings, Mixology, incredibly themed nightclubs and lounges, poolside bars, specialty after-dinner drinks, wine service and more - all masterfully crafted by some of the most knowledgeable beverage crew members around - I'd argue few places compare to a Disney Cruise Line vacation!

Not only can you find numerous places to drink surrounded by the glamourous surroundings of a Disney Cruise Line ship, as long as you abide by the Disney Cruise Line Alcohol Policy, you can bring a limited amount of your own beer, wine, or Champagne aboard with you at each port! Unfortunately, Jason, vodka-based canned cocktails are not included in the acceptable types of beverages that can be brought aboard.

That said, there are a few details of the Alcohol policy to remember:
    • The limitation of two 750ml bottles of wine or Champagne and six-pack of beer is per person, not per stateroom.
    • Limits are effectively reset at each port - so you can pick up something local in each Port of Call you visit!
    • If you purchase liquor or spirits while in port, they can be held for you and claimed at the end of your cruise. While you won't be able to enjoy it during your cruise, I've found it can be a great memento from your vacation!
While we do enjoy hopping off the ship to snag some local beers, you can usually find us on the Disney Wonder enjoying some Jazz and a Sazerac in the French Quarter Lounge! Oh, and don't forget, there's always the beverage packages available for purchase through Onboard Gifts to make arriving in your stateroom on embarkation day all the more special! The choices really are nearly endless!

However you decide to augment your Disney Cruise Line beverage options, I hope that helps point your compass in the right direction! Thanks again for your question, Jason, and if you need to uncork any others, you know where to find me here at planDisney!

Yo ho ho and a bottle of...wine!
