Can we bring out own tubes to castaway cay?

Ahoy there, Amy! Thanks for dropping us a message in a bottle here at planDisney!

Wow, you're setting sail in just a few short days! I'm glad we picked your bottle out of the pile!

Disney Castaway Cay is a great Port of Call to see on any Disney Cruise Line itinerary. With its white sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and activities for the entire family, it really is a DREAM of a day at Disney's private island! I'm sure you can almost feel the sea breeze and hear the island music playing now...paradise is yours!

To keep that paradise safe for all castaways, aquatic items like inflatables, pool noodles and similar floats are not permitted on Disney Cruise Line. A full list of prohibited items is available in the FAQ section of the website. While that may not be the answer you were hoping for, every cloud has a silver lining - especially on a Disney Cruise!

Family Beach, Flippers and Floats, and Serenity Bay all have locations to rent floats and tubes for your day on Castaway Cay! For even more convenience, I always suggest booking the Float and Tube Rentals Port Adventure ahead of time - that way they're sure to have one waiting and ready for me as soon as we hit the beach! I'm not much of a lounger, though, so I also like to rent snorkel gear, a kayak, or a bicycle while my family is on Castaway Cay! If there's a cool sea breeze coming off the water, the kayak rental helps me work up a bit of heat, and the bike makes the trip to Serenity Bay almost as effortless as waiting for the tram!

Whichever you decide, I'm sure you'll have an amazing day at Castaway Cay! I'm so excited that you are just days away from an incredible Disney Cruise Line vacation, Amy! I know time is short, but you can always drop us a line with any additional last-minute planning questions you might have here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
