Hiya Kelli,
Welcome to
planDisney! As the mom of two under four, I know that the secret to any good Walt Disney World Resort vacation is having the right stroller. The perfect stroller prevents me from having to carry my littles too much, is the perfect place for naps, and easily maneuvers through crowds and onto complimentary transportation.
While Walt Disney World does offer
stroller rentals (and so does their featured provider, ScooterBug), you can bring your own stroller. The one thing you will want to consider, though, is that your stroller must comply with the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. According to the policy, your stroller must fit within the designated dimensions of 31 inches wide by 52 inches long. If your stroller exceeds this criterion, then you can rent one, as I mentioned. They have single- and double-strollers available on a first-come, first-served basis. One additional thing: stroller wagons are prohibited, so even though the wagon you mentioned in your other question fits within the dimensions, it is not allowed in the theme parks.
I hope this was helpful, Kelli. Before I let you go, don’t forget that if you do decide to bring your own stroller, pack a ribbon or sign for it. In a sea of strollers outside attractions, they start to look identical. I like having a brightly colored ribbon or a sign so I can quickly pick out my stroller amongst all the others. I’ve also seen people purchase a balloon and use it if they forget something. Please come back and see us if you need anything else before your trip. We are happy to share all our tips and trips for Mouseketeers of all ages.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
