    If we bring our own snorkles/masks to use at Castaway Cay, will we still have to pay a fee to use the Disney swimming life vests?

    Ahoy Lisa –
    We are thrilled to hear about your upcoming cruise, and right about now I am dreaming of a visit to Castaway Cay. My pirate crew absolutely loves the crystal blue waters, fine powdery white sand and the gentle Bahamian breezes this utopia provides. Although we are beach bums for the most part, we have greatly enjoyed snorkeling in those fabulous waters at Castaway Cay. Snorkelers are welcome to bring their own gear or rent for a low fee at Gil’s Fins and Boats. Life vests are required for snorkeling, and if you do not bring your own, you can use one free of charge. The vests are thin yellow material that is inflatable and can be found at Gil’s or Flippers and Floats. There are two different trails to follow in the Snorkel Lagoon and you may find a hidden Mickey if you search hard enough.
