    Can you bring your own snorkeling gear to Castaway Cay? Do they require you to wear a life vest to snorkel? In addition, do you still have to pay the excursion cost to snorkel at Castaway Cay if you are not renting equipment? Thanks for the help!

    When visiting Disney's amazing private island, Castaway Cay, guests are more than welcome to bring their own personal snorkel gear. The Snorkeling Lagoon off the Family Beach is a great place to get some exercise while looking for underwater hidden Disney "treasures"! There are two different snorkeling trails to explore: the Discover Trail, for novices, and the Explorer Trail for more experienced snorkelers.

    There's no charge to snorkel with your personal equipment, but all snorkelers will be required to wear a life vest in the lagoon. Life vests are provided free of charge, and are the type you can inflate to your comfort level. These bright yellow life vests can be picked up at Gil's Fins and Boats or Flippers and Floats, located on either end of the lagoon.
