Can I bring my own small microwave to a Disney Resort Hotel?

Bonjour, Stacy! We are so delighted to hear that soon you will be our guest for a fabulous Walt Disney World vacation. I now invite you to relax, pull up a chair, as we at planDisney proudly present...an answer to your question!

Disney Resort Hotels are full of wonderful amenities and touches of pixie-dust that make our vacations just a little bit more convenient. Whether it's the generous number of USB charging ports or perfectly positioned bedside reading lights, the magic makers behind the scenes have thought of just about everything.

While you are not permitted to bring your own microwave for use in your resort room, depending on where you are staying, you may have access to one. Microwave ovens are provided in all Deluxe Villa Resort accommodations as well in the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Under normal circumstances, microwaves are available for Guest use in resort quick-service restaurants, but during the current phased reopening, these may not available. During my family's recent stay at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, we noticed the microwaves inside Roaring Fork were not accessible to guests. You can request a microwave for your room by contacting your resort prior to arrival; these are offered on a limited basis, so I suggest calling as soon as possible.

I hope this information is helpful as you iron out those last-minute details before your magical vacation begins! Remember that the Disney chefs serve with flair a culinary cabaret, so even if you don't do any in-room cooking, there will be plenty of tasty treats available during your visit. Try the grey stuff - it's delicious!

    Bon appétit,
    Betsy
