When you sail aboard your Disney cruise, you’re going to be blown away by all the amazing
included amenities on board! From food to entertainment to unlimited soda, and, yes, even straws, SO much is included on your cruise! However, I definitely understand the desire and importance of having your favorite things from home when traveling (I’m definitely not a light packer, by any means), so I’d be happy to answer your question regarding bringing your own straws.
In an effort to continue to be ecologically friendly, Disney Cruise Line does not use single-use plastic straws. Rather than single-use plastic straws, there are paper ones readily available for guests. However, since plastic and reusable straws are not on the Prohibited and Restricted Items list, you are able to bring them. I highly recommend reading the
Prohibited and Restricted Items list again as you get closer to your sail date to ensure that this is still allowed. Also, please note that should these policies suddenly change, Disney Cruise Line always reserves the right to seize and secure any item that is not allowed on board.
Speaking of straws, Kimberly, I want to tell you about one of the coolest and most delicious straws on board! I bet you never thought you’d be reading the word “delicious” when used to describe a straw, but that’s exactly what they are! Along with paper straws, Disney Cruise Line also has flavored CANDY straws, which can be found in the lounges and coffee shops. These are always such a favorite item for guests that are included with beverage purchases, because, Kimberly, where else but on a Disney cruise can you have your iced latte with a coffee-flavored straw?! Once you're on board your cruise, you can find the locations of the lounges and coffee shops (and thus the beloved candy straws) in the ship map on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.
