If we bring our own golf cart to Ft Wilderness do we have to register it at the main office? We have stayed there before and we have rented the golf carts offered by Disney. But staying for two weeks can add up so I want to bring my golf cart.

Hi Michele! I am so excited that you will be staying for two weeks at Fort Wilderness! What a great break for you this spring.

Disney does allow their guests who hold a Fort Wilderness reservation to bring their own golf carts with them for their stay. I agree, renting one for two weeks would be quite expensive and it's the reason we bought our own several years ago so we had one during the many weeks we spend in the Fort. You will not have to register this since you are the ones bringing it with you when you you enter the resort.

What they will not allow is third party companies bringing golf carts in to rent to the guests. If you are renting from a third party then you will have to figure out a way to bring this golf cart with you when you arrive. Obviously it would not be good business practice for Disney to allow other companies in to rent golf carts when they have their own to rent. We have even had some trouble getting our storage location to drop our own cart off at Fort Wilderness. We have to meet them at the security entrance to give the ok.

So attach the cart trailer to your car or RV and just come in....no need to separately register your golf cart. Enjoy using it as to me a trip there is not complete without buzzing around on a cart to sight see the other loops. Have a great time!
