Can we bring our own food into the parks? or what is permitted to bring in?

    Hi Christian,

Walt Disney World always seems to have "it" all figured out. It amazes me to see how other amusement parks restrict bringing food items into the parks. That rule ties guests down to purchasing expensive, sometimes unhealthy food inside the parks. WDW has a different approach. Guest are permitted to bring food and beverage items into the parks. There are just a few restrictions: glass containers are not permitted (except for baby food jars), alcoholic beverages are not permitted, and large coolers with wheels are not permitted. Keep in mind that all bags will be searched prior to park entry.

Here are a couple of other no-nos for the parks. Items that are to be pulled, are not permitted, neither are wheeled items like skateboards, shoes with wheels, back packs with wheels etc. Please no weapons in the parks and leave Pluto and Goofy at home or in one of Disney's pet sitting services, unless they are medically necesssary.

There is tiny exception to the restriction rule at Animal Kingdom because it is a zoo. Balloons, coolers, and plastic drink lids and straws (even the ones on drink boxes) are not permitted for the safety of the animals.

Have fun at the most magical place on earth!
