If we bring our own food (like a packed lunch) into the park, where can we eat it? Are there designated areas or are we allowed to eat at an outside table even if it is part of a restaurant?

    Hi Alicia,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

As a family of picnic-in-the-theme-park lunch packers, we always manage to find a pleasant spot to sit down and enjoy our lunches and snacks, and I'm confident you'll find some great spots as well.

In Magic Kingdom Park, one of our most favorite spots is where you find the umbrella-shaded tables down Center Street, the side street off Main Street, U.S.A. near Uptown Jewelers. Another favorite get-away spot is over on Tom Sawyer Island overlooking Rivers of America. The Plaza Gardens make for a fun spot to spread out on the ground picnic-style and soak up the atmosphere and enjoy your lunch.

In Epcot, you'll find ample tables and benches all around World Showcase where you'll have both a perfect lunch spot and a perfect view.

In Disney's Hollywood Studios, we often sit at the tables near the Sunshine Ranch Market, and you'll find spots in other areas like over near Commissary Lane.

Over in Disney's Animal Kingdom, you'll find many stopping spots and out-of-the-way tables to set out your lunch.

One quick tip to keep in mind is that glass containers are not permitted to be brought into the Parks.

Alicia, here's wishing you a fantastic Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
