Hi! Can we bring our own canoe and life jackets to use at Fort Wilderness camping area? We are camping there next week.

Hi Christina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Only THREE more days until your vacation at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! I bet you are very excited. It is a great time to visit with the holiday spirit showcased in Christmas decorations and special events. I know you will have a wonderful trip!

Personal watercraft are not allowed on Walt Disney World Resort waterways, so bringing your own canoe would not be allowed. But there is good news! Canoe rentals are available at the Bike Barn at the Meadow Recreation Area from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. daily. The rental fee is $13 per hour. You can also rent a kayak at the same location and for the same cost. The canoes hold a maximum of three (3) Guests each, while the kayaks hold a maximum of two (2) Guests each. Both come with complimentary life jackets that are required. If you would like more information prior to your trip, feel free to call the Bike Barn at (407) 824-2932.

There are so many recreational activities to keep you busy during your stay. I have friends that camp at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and rarely visit the theme parks because there is so much to do at the resort!

Enjoy your visit, Christina, and please let us know if you have any other questions!
