Can I bring my own bottled coffee onboard a Disney cruise?

Ahoy there Tammy, and welcome aboard the decks of planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed our way with your question!

While I'm more of a tea guy, myself, I definitely understand wanting to bring your favorite beverage to ensure you're starting, ending, or afternoon-ing your day the way you want! So whether it's because you're team, "but first, coffee..." or just have a very particular type you prefer, I like the cut of your jib, as they say!

I have great news, you most definitely can bring your own bottled coffee aboard - though as the Genie specifies to Aladdin,"there are a few provisos...a few quid pro quos..."

Bottled coffee, bottled water, or other non-alcoholic beverages brought aboard must be in the original store or factory-sealed container, and must not have been opened. Also, they must be carried on in your...well, carry-on luggage! So if I were you, I'd either distribute your coffees across a few of your crew's carry-on bags, or if you've been looking for a new type of coffee to try, I have a friend who swears by concentrated cold brew!

Now, I know it comes at an extra cost, but if you end up running out of the coffee you bring, there's always Cove Café aboard every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet for specialty coffees that put your local coffeehouse to shame. And if you and your crew happen to be on the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy, don't forget about Vista Café located just off the atrium! OH, and one more thing - if you're sailing aboard the Disney Wish, you'd be surprised at just how many of the lounges - like the Enchanted Sword Café and Wishing Star Café to name a few - bridge the gap between cocktail bar and coffee house, so there are plenty of options to get your caffeine fix!

Well, it's BEAN fun helping you figure out how to best prepare to bring coffee aboard, Tammy! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as you percolate through the days leading up to your cruise this October, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

Here's to a fun time BREWING for you and your crew!
