Hello there, SarahLee!
Sending you a big welcome to planDisney, thanks for your question! Packing for a day in the parks can be intimidating, but no worries! We've totally got this.
You are welcome to bring most food and drink into the parks with you when you visit the Disneyland Resort. You can check the
prohibited items list to see if anything you want to bring isn't allowed, but let me mention a few important items:
- Coolers larger than a 6-pack are not allowed in the theme parks, however, if you want to bring one you can store it in the rentable lockers outside the parks (note that lockers are not refrigerated). The largest lockers are 19" wide x 24" high x 31" deep.
- Dry ice and loose ice are not permitted. We recommend reusable ice packs to keep your items cool. Personally, we often freeze yogurt tubes! They keep our other items cool and defrost in time for our kids to enjoy them at lunch.
- Glass containers are not allowed, with a few exceptions (such as baby food) under 4 ounces.
We often bring snacks like crackers, granola bars, pretzels, fruit snacks, grapes, and baby carrots in our park bags. Nuts and hard candy are great, too! We bring refillable water bottles and use the
complimentary bottle-filling stations around the park, too.
As far as park hours for your visit, it looks like your date is during
Disneyland After Dark: Throwback Nite. That means that the park hours for Disneyland Park are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM due to the event. Checking the
Hours & Events Calendar, it looks like Disney California Adventure Park is open until 10:00 PM that evening so you'll be able to use your
Park Hopper Tickets to head over for more adventure after Disneyland Park closes to the public that night! Hours are subject to change, so keep an eye on the calendar before your visit. I really love
Cars Land after dark, make sure you cruise over to see Radiator Springs at its best!
I hope this information helps you prepare for a great day in the parks, SarahLee!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
