Can we bring outside food and water or drinks? beverage bottles? Food any way wrapped specific? this is for California Adventure

    Hi Linda! Welcome to planDisney.

I see you are counting down the weeks until you visit the Disneyland Resort! I bet you can't wait to be in the middle of the magic at Disney California Adventure - I'm so excited for you.

My family always packs snacks to avoid the dreaded "hangry" feelings. Theme park days are super exciting, but they can also be long and hot, and it's important to be prepared with water bottles and snacks. I'm glad you're thinking about this!

Linda, the Disneyland Resort Park Rules, which apply to Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District (except where otherwise noted), are a very helpful resource when deciding what to bring to Disneyland. For water and other beverages, make sure your bottles are not made of glass, and do not bring alcoholic beverages. My family likes insulated metal water bottles and we fill them with ice to make our sips extra refreshing, but the downside is that they do make your backpack heavier. You may refill your bottles at water fountains throughout the parks; use your Disneyland app to find the closest restrooms, as water fountains are often located outside those.

For snacks, the most important note is that if you'll be using a cooler, it can be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high, and if you're using ice, it should be either a reusable ice pack or zip-top bags filled with ice (loose ice is prohibited). Your bag is subject to inspection at bag check; I usually package all our snacks together in a larger resealable bag to make them easier to find and to make the security process move a little faster. I also recommend taking a look at the Returning to a Land of Magic information for the most up-to-date health and safety procedures and information as part of Disneyland Resort's phased reopening.

Linda, did you hear about Avengers Campus, opening at Disney California Adventure Park on June 4, 2021? I can't wait to ASSEMBLE my family and explore every detail! This Disney Parks Blog article provides a fun preview.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! Please come back and see us if you have any further questions.

    Wishing you a magical adventure,
